Although the mechanism and the shipwreck of the same name have been consistently in the news little new information has been added since 2015 when I last wrote about it. Now that has changed: Indiana Jones is on the hunt!
Originally, I wrote that there was an exciting future for more discovery: The Antikythera shipwreck, source of the antikythera mechanism, has been recently approved for a major five-year excavation project. The expedition will be led by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and will be using new advanced technology. More details and photos HERE

New Museum Under Water
